The local pool players association operates an amateur pool comp every Thursday night with tournaments held against the towns pubs & bars this runs from Sep to April every year. A great night’s craic with two local teams going head to head against each other for one lousy trophy.

May to September the Outside Irish bowls league takes place, an Irish sport in which competitors attempt to take the fewest throws to propel a wooden log and knock away 5 wooden stumps. A very enjoyable social activity full of gossip, fun and entertainment. Even fun to watch for passers-by.
